Job Title: REMOTE Sr. GaN Design Engineer
Job Location: REMOTE - we have offices in Sunnyvale, CA, and Chandler, AZ, & Austin, TX
Compensation: $160K - $210K base plus bonus and RSUs
Requirements: Device Design, GaN HEMT, TCAD, Characterization, Device Layout, Testing

What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for supporting new GaN program design activities to support new customer opportunities. Responsibilities include:

Own and design 100V to 650 V power GaN HEMT designs
Perform analytical analysis of designs through TCAD or other methods as needed
Evaluate external foundry GaN technologies
Direct and perform layouts and T/O procedures
Characterize and benchmark designs with competitors
Analyze electrical characterization data with statistical software, write reports, and present results
Work closely with the product engineering teams to define test, reliability, and qualification requirements

What You Need for this Position

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years experience/knowledge of the following:

Thorough understanding of high-voltage GaN HEMT physics and layout techniques
Understand characterization methods of HV GaN devices (switching, dynamic-Ron, etc.)
Knowledgeable in industry qualification standards such as JEDEC, AEC-Q101, and AQG 324
Hands-on experience in device layout, testing, and fabrication methods
