We are a well-established litigation firm located in downtown Chicago, recognized for its deep experience in both defense and plaintiff-side litigation. Our Subrogation Practice represents some of the largest insurers in the country, pursuing recovery in complex property damage, product liability, and transportation claims nationwide.

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our Plaintiff Subrogation team. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in pursuing recovery on behalf of insurers in property and casualty claims. This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to all aspects of litigation, from investigation to trial.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate subrogation claims
  • Draft complaints, discovery requests, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances
  • Work closely with clients to develop case strategies and recovery goals
  • Analyze liability and damages issues, including working with expert witnesses
  • Manage a diverse caseload with varying levels of complexity across jurisdictions

 

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in Illinois 
  • 1+ years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to property, construction, or product liability matters
  • Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
