Patent Paralegal

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Patent Paralegal to support our intellectual property team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications, conduct research on patent law, and maintain records of patent matters to ensure the protection of our clients' innovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and other international patent offices.
  • Conduct research on patent law and regulations to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Maintain and organize patent files and documentation, including correspondence with clients and patent examiners.
  • Assist in managing deadlines and tracking filings to ensure timely submissions and responses to office actions.
  • Prepare and review patent-related documents, including declarations, assignments, and responses to office actions.
  • Liaise with inventors, attorneys, and clients to gather necessary information for patent applications and related processes.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as legal studies or intellectual property.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in patent law or intellectual property law.
  • Strong understanding of patent law and the patent application process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing, with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
