Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Electrical Test Technician to support our growing field service operations. Based out of our office, this role involves hands-on testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems at client facilities.
The ideal candidate has experience with high, medium, and low-voltage equipment, and is comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced field environment. Responsibilities: Perform testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power distribution equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, protective relays, and associated systems. Work on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), automatic transfer switches (ATSs), generator controls, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. Conduct field services at client sites with a focus on safety, accuracy, and professionalism.
Generate detailed technical reports and communicate findings with project managers and clients. Preferred Qualifications: NETA Level 2, 3, or 4 certification (or equivalent experience).
Strong background in electrical testing and diagnostics. Experience with VFDs, ATSs, generator controls, UPS systems, or other relay/control systems. Familiarity with industry safety standards and electrical schematics. Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites. Skills and Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
