Mechanical Group Manager
Position Overview
The Mechanical Group Manager will oversee a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in various projects. This role will require strong leadership skills and in-depth technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, particularly in HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement mechanical system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and other related systems.
- Conduct load calculations and system layout planning to optimize efficiency and functionality.
- Review and approve design documents and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance their technical skills and professional development.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Proven experience in a managerial role, leading engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and software tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems and design is a plus.
- Experience in performing load calculations and system layout is highly desirable.
