Job Title: Tax Manager, CPA
Location: Williamsville/Buffalo NY- Hybrid schedule
Salary: $105k-$135k first year base + Benefits, Bonus
Position Overview
We are a thriving public accounting firm now seeking an experienced Tax Manager with a CPA to help lead our tax department, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing expert advice to clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of tax laws to help clients optimize their tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients, including S-Corporations and LLCs.
- Manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and inform clients of changes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored tax solutions.
- Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and expand services offered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with clients in varying industries, including knowledge of SALT (State and Local Tax).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
