Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Residential Construction team. This person should have a comprehensive understanding of the construction planning process and be able to accurately calculate job costs. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for a variety of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project construction plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate estimates.
Perform quantitative take-offs to determine the material and labor requirements for a project.
Analyze labor and material costs to determine the overall cost of a project.
Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate material and labor costs.
Provide value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving solutions.
Review estimates with project team members to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Track project progress against the estimate to make sure that all costs are accounted for.
Create reports to track changes in budget and timeline due to project scope adjustments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
At least 2+ years of experience in the Residential Homebuilder industry with a focus on estimating.
Comprehensive understanding of construction planning and cost estimation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
