Construction Project Manager
Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to provide project updates and address any issues.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and progress, ensuring that all work is completed to specifications.
- Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with all contract terms and conditions.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Ensure quality assurance throughout the construction process, addressing any quality issues promptly.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field - a Plus!
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, particularly in steel construction and erection.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
