We're a Mid size regional firm with offices in Baltimore and Fairfax servicing clients across a number of verticals including Construction and Real Estate, Non Profit, Government, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Professional Services and more.

Due to growth (10% in the last 2 years) we are looking to add an experienced Audit Manager focused in Non Profit to our growing team.

Position Overview
The Audit Manager will oversee the audit process for various clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, particularly in the non-profit sector, to provide assurance services and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, including the supervision of staff
Review and assess internal controls, risk management, and compliance processes for clients
Prepare and present audit reports and findings to clients and stakeholders
Coordinate and communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
Mentor and train junior staff members to enhance their skills and professional development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification or equivalent qualification
A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, with a focus on non-profit organizations preferred
Strong knowledge of audit methodologies and assurance standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
